This painting is named after a Greek word for compassion. It is the result of my having read a lot of somewhat occult and esoteric literature concerning everything from alchemy to Kundalini Yoga. I suppose it is an attempt at a syncretism, graphically describing a place where different ideas meet and agree with each other.
